The Taming Of The Shroom

Psilocybin is classed as an entheogen sanctioning it as a psychoactive visionary plant used in relation to ancient religious rituals and cultural ceremonies.
The Ancestral of the magic mushroom predates back to the Mesoamerican Mazatec Tribe whom had been using the sacred mushroom known by the Mazatecas as “Teonanactl” for the purpose of  shamanic ceremonies that are performed by the healers known as "curanderos".

From ancient mythology to modern mycology
The Mushroom Movement in America has seen more diversity of edible and psilocybin mushroom strains spread throughout America more than ever.
Thanks to all the free spirited hippie caravaners foraging mushroom spores from state to state.

Denver being known as the pioneers of the Freedom Mushroom Movement in America first decriminalised mushrooms for non-commercial purposes in May 2019, followed by California, Oakland, Washington DC and Seattle.

Seattle pushed for further decriminalisation on other entheogen plant medicines and successfully legalised the use of Ayahuasca and Masculine.

Two years after the initial Freedom Mushroom Movement Denver is now seeking further freedoms and amendments of the current mushroom laws, intending to lower the law enforcement of psilocybin mushrooms to a minor offence.

Moving forward on the acceptance of mushrooms in America Denver prepares to educate local community workers and health organisations about the safety and prevention of risks associated with psilocybin.

The biggest risk factors associated with mushrooms is usually the mis-identification of edible mushrooms for poisonous specimens when cultivating in the wild.

Mushroom societies of Denver take part in monthly non occultist meetings as to identify and collect data associated with mushrooms, Whilst local mycologists are educating the community through workshops on safely identifying and classifying their own wild mushrooms when foraging.

Meanwhile Health associated research continues with further developments into the medicinal uses of mushrooms for healing purposes, prior government funded clinical studies conducted in the US documented notable evidence for psilocybin mushrooms as early as 2016. Findings were evidently profound for the cases studied in clinical settings with a range of patients being treated suffering from drug and alcohol abuse, depression and terminal illness.

The bigger picture for the foreseeable future of these American mushroom pioneers is mushrooms being legalised throughout the entire United States and taken to a commercialised scale equal to that of the CBD and THC sativa and indica medicinal industry.

For now America will have to settle with the commercialisation of mushrooms for the purpose of mushroom leather discovered in 2021 as being a durable vegan alternative option for leather.
