The Divine's Root Of Mandragora

The Mandragora officinarum commonly known as the Mandrake or the screaming Mandrake from written prophecy and folklore foretells the curse of the tainted Mandragora's abilities to bewitch death upon any animal or human at the breath of its harrowing shriek.
Yet Biblically the Mandragora rises as a saint from the heavens.

Mandragora is a relative to the Deadly Nightshade Atropa Belladonna family which has its Virtues.
Holding simmering effects with its abilities to invoke sleep-inducing hypnotic states and mind altering hallucinogenic effects to the human consciousness.

The Mandragora was once used in Ancient Medica as a general anaesthesia, yet it's high alkaloid contents categorises the mandrake as a highly poisonous herbaceous plant that when consumed in high dosages could lead to asphyxiation resulting to unconsciousness or death.

Mandragora is deeply rooted to ancient paganism and occultist practices as the herald of the Grand Divine's gateway. It has also occurred numerously in Biblical texts of The Old Testament in the Book of Genesis and in the Song of Solomon.

Song of Solomon 7:13

"The Mandrakes give forth fragrance, and beside our doors are all choice fruits, new as well as old, which I have laid up for you,
O my beloved."

The Book of Genesis 30:14 - 22

"In the days of wheat harvest Reuben went and found Mandrakes in the field and brought them to his mother Leah. Then Rachel said to Leah, "Please give me some of your son's Mandrakes."

The Mandragora officinarum is known for being richly abundant within the Palestinian Republic which is a neighbouring city of Jerusalem.

It has been foretold that the wise King Solomon of Jerusalem wore a ring containing the Mandrake root to give him profound Divine powers. The Mandrake root would be made into amulets and powerful talismans with the use of incantations to bring good fortunes, protection from evil spirits and even magicks in love.

Was Mandrake linked to the resurrection of Christ?

The Holy Sponge known as one of the instruments of passions of Jesus Christ is believed to have been filled with that of the Mandragora juice not of vinegar or 'sour wine'.

According to the book of Greek Ancient Medica, A 1st Century physician had written in considerable detail about the Mandrake Root being boiled in wine for the use of an anaesthetic in Ancient Rome.

Could this possibly be the 'sour wine' thats Spoken of?

The Holy Sponge was given to Jesus Christ at the time he had complained of thirst whilst enduring his
Crucifixion upon The Holy Cross.
Drinking the Juice of the Divine Mandragora thus allowed him to be induced into a death like sleep hence furthermore enabling the Resurrection of Christ after the three days passing of his death.

Similar famous accounts of Mandrake inducing people into death like sleep include the vile of unknown substance taken by Juliet in Shakespeare's ' Romeo and Juliet ' believed to have been the concoction of Mandragora.
